Antique Brass Mirror Light, LED Picture and Vanity Wall Lamp for Bathroom, Dressing Room and Hallway, 8 W, Warm White
A slim LED tube on an antique brass-finish arm, made to wash light down a mirror.
Details
This antique brass mirror light is a slim LED tube on an ornate arm in an antique brass finish, made to sit above a mirror or a picture and wash light down over it. The arm holds the tube out above the frame, so light falls down the glass or canvas rather than into your eyes. An LED runs cool that close to a mirror and lasts a long time.
Above the bathroom mirror it lights your face from the mirror side instead of from behind, so you can see the face you are shaving or doing makeup on. As a vanity light it pairs with brass faucets. In a dressing room or walk-in closet it goes over the mirror or dressing table; in a hallway or living room it is a picture light over a painting.
The antique brass finish is meant to look aged, so keep polish and abrasive cleaners off it and use a soft dry cloth. The LED is 8 W and warm white, which is kinder to skin in a mirror than cool white. The tube is 45 cm long, which spans a mirror over a sink or dressing table. Dust it when switched off, and in a bathroom wipe condensation off the metal from time to time.

Why it earns its place
Made for a mirror
The arm holds the tube out from the wall above the frame, so the light falls down over the glass or the canvas rather than into your eyes.
8 W LED, warm white
A slim LED tube at 8 W, warm white, which flatters a face in a mirror better than a cool white does.
45 cm long
Long enough to span a mirror over a basin or a dressing table, and slim so it does not compete with the frame.

In your home
Above the bathroom mirror it does what a ceiling spot cannot: it lights the face from the mirror side rather than from behind you, so you see what you are shaving or doing your make-up on. In a dressing room it goes over the mirror on the wardrobe wall, or above a dressing table.
In a hallway or a living room it works as a picture light over a painting or a framed print, the ornate arm in its antique brass finish suiting a gilt or dark wood frame. Match it with brass taps and warm stone in a bathroom, or with wallpaper and old furniture elsewhere.
Materials and quality
The arm has an antique brass finish, ornate rather than plain, and it carries a slim LED tube 45 cm long. LED means little heat close to a mirror or a picture and a long life, and at 8 W it is a modest draw for the light it gives. The warm white colour temperature is the right one for skin in a mirror and for the varnish on an old painting.
Care and everyday use
Wipe the arm with a soft dry cloth and keep polish and abrasive cleaners off the antique finish, which is meant to look aged. Dust the LED tube with a dry cloth once it is switched off. In a bathroom, wipe condensation off the metal now and then so it does not sit on the finish.
Good to know
How wide is it?
45 cm. Measure the mirror or the frame it will sit above; it looks best when the tube is narrower than what it lights.
How bright is it?
It is an 8 W LED in warm white, bright enough to light a face in the mirror or a picture and wash it evenly.
Where does it mount?
On the wall above the mirror or picture, with the arm holding the tube out so the light washes down the surface.
