This brass wall sconce is a slim metal stem in a brass finish, a small finial at the bottom and a narrow fabric shade above. It takes little wall, so it fits a narrow hallway where a wider fixture would catch shoulders. The fabric shade softens the light, so the wall gets a gentle glow rather than a hard spot. It is hardwired, so no cord trails.
In a narrow hallway the stem hugs the wall and the shade lays a warm glow on the plaster; run two down a corridor or hang one over a console table. In a bedroom, one each side of the bed at reading height keeps the nightstand clear. A living room takes one either side of a fireplace or bookcase.
