A chunky knit throw made from very thick, soft yarn worked into giant loops, the kind of blanket you see on the end of a bed and want to touch. It is plain and solid in color, so the knit itself is the pattern.

Drape it over the foot of the bed, the arm of the sofa or the back of a reading chair, and pull it over your knees when the weather turns cold. Choose Cream, Beige, Light Grey or Forest Green.

Keep it folded or draped loosely rather than hung from a hook, so the loops keep their shape.

Care and everyday use

Shake the blanket out gently and lay it flat or fold it loosely; hanging it from a hook can stretch the loops. Spot clean small marks with a damp cloth. If it needs a full wash, wash it gently by hand in cool water, press the water out without wringing and dry it flat, away from direct heat.
