This fabric shade wall lamp puts a bedside lamp on the wall. The fabric shade on its iron arm diffuses the bulb rather than throwing a beam, so the light is soft, not a spotlight on the pillow. It is hardwired and takes a standard E27 bulb, not included, so you pick the mood: a warm dimmable LED for bedside light, a brighter bulb for reading.

Either side of the bed is the obvious spot, leaving the nightstand or bedside table clear for a book and a glass of water. Mounted at sitting shoulder height, it stays low enough to leave on while the other side of the bed sleeps.
