Details

This hanging shower caddy hooks over the shower head or the rail, so there is no drilling and no adhesive strip to let go after a few months of steam. The weight goes onto the fixture itself, so no pad fails and no suction cup creeps down the tile. Bottles and soap go in the basket; the hooks along the bottom take a razor and a loofah.

It lives in the shower, where bottles otherwise line the tub edge or the floor of the stall. It suits a rental where drilling is off the table, and a family bathroom where three people each keep their own shampoo. Shower shelf, shower basket, shampoo holder: whatever you call a no-drill shower organizer, the job is bottles off the floor without a hole in the wall.

It is rustproof steel in silver or black, the same steel under both finishes. A caddy sits in spray every day and never dries out; ordinary steel spots at the joints within a season, this does not. Silver suits chrome faucets and white tile, black matches matte black fixtures. Rinse and wipe it now and then with a soft cloth, never a scouring pad, which scratches the finish. If it starts to tilt, lift it off and reseat it.

Hanging Shower Caddy, No-Drill Shower Organizer Basket with Hooks for Shampoo and Soap, Fits Shower Head or Rail, Rustproof Steel, Silver or Black

Why it earns its place

Hangs, no fixing

Hooks over the shower head or rail. No drill, and no adhesive strip that lets go in the steam a few months in.

Rustproof steel

The only kind worth putting in a shower. It sits in spray every day, never gets to dry out, and does not rust.

Hooks along the bottom

A razor and a loofah hang underneath, so the basket itself is left for the bottles and the soap.

In your home

This lives in the shower, over the head or hooked on the rail, in the spot where bottles otherwise line the bath edge or the floor of the cubicle. It suits a rented flat where you cannot drill, and a family bathroom where three people each have their own shampoo.

Silver sits well with chrome taps and white tile. Black matches matt black taps and shower heads, and reads as a deliberate choice against pale tile rather than an afterthought.

Materials and quality

The whole thing is rustproof steel, which is the point. A shower caddy spends its life wet, and ordinary steel starts to spot at the joints within a season; rustproof steel does not. The hanging design means there is no adhesive pad to fail and no suction cup to creep down the tile, because the weight goes straight onto the shower head or rail. Pick silver or black; the steel is the same underneath.

Care and everyday use

Rinse it under the shower now and then and wipe it down, because soap scum builds up on any surface in there. A soft cloth is enough; skip scouring pads, which scratch the finish. If the basket starts to tilt, lift it off and reseat it on the head or rail. Nothing needs re-sticking.

Good to know

Does it fit on a shower rail as well as the head?

Yes. It is made to hang from either, so pick whichever puts the bottles at a better height.

Do I need any tools to put it up?

No. Nothing is drilled or stuck to the tile. Lift it over the shower head or rail and it is in place.

Which colour should I pick?

Silver for chrome fittings and pale tile, black for matt black taps or a darker bathroom. Both are the same rustproof steel.
