Hemp Rope Wall Lamp, Retro Industrial Iron Sconce for Loft, Hallway and Living Room, E27 Edison Bulb Not Included
Real hemp rope on an iron frame, the loft look with texture you can feel
Details
This hemp rope wall lamp is real rope wound around an iron frame, so the loft look holds up close: real texture, not a printed effect, and light catching the twist throws a soft pattern on the wall. Iron holds the shape; hemp gives the surface. Hardwired, standard E27 socket, bulb not included. Use a clear Edison-style filament bulb; the rope reads best with warm light behind it.
It suits a loft-style living room, a brick or dark-painted hallway, or a workshop corner that has become a home office. One each side of a doorway or two above a workbench, and the rope carries the room. The touch on/off switch sits on the lamp, so nobody hunts for a wall switch in a hallway. As an industrial wall sconce or wall light, it pairs with exposed brick, raw wood, leather and black steel shelving.
Iron frame and shade, hemp rope, E27 fitting, touch switch, rated for a 220 V supply. A dry brush or a soft cloth takes dust off the rope; never wet it, since damp hemp can darken or start to smell. Dry cloth on the iron. Keep it away from steam and damp rooms, cut the power for bulb changes, and let the old bulb cool before touching the rope.

Why it earns its place
Hemp rope wrap
Actual rope wound around the iron frame, not a printed rope effect. The texture shows in the light and casts a soft pattern on the wall.
Touch on/off switch
A touch switch turns it on and off at the lamp itself, useful in a hallway where you do not want to hunt for a wall switch.
E27, bulb not included
Takes a standard E27 bulb. A clear filament bulb suits it best; the rope reads well with warm light behind it.

In your home
It belongs in a loft-style living room, a hallway with brick or dark paint, or a workshop corner turned into a home office. Put one either side of a doorway or a pair above a bench and the rope texture does the decorating.
It sits well with raw timber, exposed brick, black steel shelving and leather. Keep the bulb a clear filament type in a warm colour; a frosted bulb loses the shadow play that makes the rope worth having.
Materials and quality
The frame is iron, the shade is iron and the rope is hemp wound around it, so the texture is real material rather than a printed finish. Iron gives it weight and keeps the shape; the rope gives it the surface. It is hardwired with a touch on/off switch and a standard E27 fitting, rated for a 220 V supply. At this price it is a simple, honest piece of metal and rope, not a lot of parts.
Care and everyday use
Dust the rope with a dry brush or a soft cloth; do not wet it, as hemp holds moisture and can darken or smell. Wipe the iron with a dry cloth. Keep it out of steam and damp rooms. Change the bulb with the power off, and wait for the old one to cool before touching the rope near it.
Good to know
Is a bulb included?
No. It takes a standard E27 bulb, and a clear filament bulb in a warm colour looks best behind the rope.
Does it have its own switch?
Yes, a touch on/off switch, so you can turn it off without a wall switch on the circuit.
Will it work with my mains?
It is listed at 220 V and is hardwired. Check that against your supply before ordering.
