Hemstitched Linen Napkins Set of 6, Natural Cloth Dinner Napkins for Dining Tables, Weddings, Restaurants and Bulk Wholesale Orders
Pure linen with a hand-drawn hemstitched edge, in its natural undyed colour.
Details
These hemstitched linen napkins get their edge the slow way: threads are drawn out of the linen by hand, then the hem is sewn back through the open ladder rather than simply folded over and machined. That edge is what turns a square of cloth into a proper napkin, and it is also why the stitching pulls a touch tighter after the first wash, as the cloth settles around it.
Bring them out when the table gets some attention: a birthday dinner, a party with friends, the long lunch on a Sunday. Lay one flat beneath the silverware (or cutlery) or fold it in thirds on the plate, and the hemstitch along the edge does the decorating. Undyed linen goes with everything: white china, dark stoneware, a colored tablecloth, bare wood. Where the table is the heart of the house, these cloth dinner napkins can do daily duty, and they get softer for it.
The fabric is 100% linen with no cotton in it, in its own natural color, so there is nothing to fade. Six matched napkins per set. Machine wash warm and hang to dry. Iron while still a bit damp for a crisp edge, or let it crease; that is how linen looks. Treat wine stains first, and keep bleach away from undyed linen.

Why it earns its place
Hemstitched by hand
The hem is drawn and stitched by hand rather than folded and machined, which is the detail that marks a proper napkin from a square of cloth.
100% linen
No cotton in the blend. Linen is the cloth that gets softer and better looking the more it is washed.
Undyed natural
The colour is the linen's own, so it sits with any plates, glassware or tablecloth you already own.

In your home
These are the napkins for the table you set with some care: a dinner party, a birthday, a long Sunday lunch. Laid flat under the cutlery or folded in thirds on the plate, the hemstitch shows along the edge and does the decorating on its own.
Undyed linen goes with everything, which is the point: white china, dark stoneware, a coloured cloth or bare wood. They are also good enough to be the everyday napkins in a house where the table is the centre of things, and they get better for it.
Materials and quality
100% linen, no blend. The edge is hemstitched, meaning threads are drawn out of the weave by hand and the hem is stitched back through the open ladder, which takes time and shows in the finished edge. That is why the hemstitch tightens a little on the first wash: the cloth settles around the stitching. The colour is undyed, so there is nothing to fade. Six napkins, all matched.
Care and everyday use
Machine wash warm. Expect the hemstitch to tighten slightly the first time through, which is normal for a drawn hem. Hang to dry, and iron while still a little damp if you want the edge crisp; linen creases and that is part of the look. Treat wine stains before the wash, and keep bleach away from undyed linen.
Good to know
What does hemstitched mean?
The hem is drawn and stitched by hand rather than folded over and machined, which gives the edge that open, ladder-like line. It tightens slightly on the first wash.
What colour is natural?
Undyed linen in its own natural colour, which goes with any plates or cloth you already own.
Which size?
18 x 18 in (45 x 45 cm) for most tables; 20 x 20 in (50 x 50 cm) if you like a generous dinner napkin.
Do you offer bulk pricing?
