An oval placemat with a wavy scalloped edge: a white woven border with a thin embroidered outline around a soft colored center. The scallops give each place setting a gentle, old-fashioned frame.

It measures 45 x 34 cm / 17.72 x 13.39 in, room for a dinner plate and cutlery. Choose Blue, with a dusty blue center and a blue outline, or Green, and order one for each place at the table.

It is washable and made for daily use. Shake off crumbs after each meal and wash it when needed.

Scalloped Embroidered Placemat, Oval Place Mat for Dining Table, Blue or Green

Why it earns its place

Scalloped edge

A wavy oval outline in white woven fabric, finished with a thin embroidered line.

Dinner size

45 x 34 cm / 17.72 x 13.39 in, enough for a plate and cutlery at each place.

Sold singly

One placemat each, so you can buy exactly as many as your table seats.

In your home

Lay one at each place for a weekday dinner and the table looks set even with simple plates. The scalloped edge suits a white or cream tablecloth as well as bare oak or pine.

Blue goes with white china, blue and white stoneware and clear glass, while Green sits well with wooden boards, linen napkins and a jug of garden flowers. Use a single one under a fruit bowl or a vase on the sideboard.

Materials and quality

The placemat is a woven fabric piece cut in an oval with a wavy scalloped edge. A white border runs all the way around, finished with a thin embroidered outline, and the center panel is a soft solid tone. It is washable and wear-resistant for daily use, and it keeps its shape and color through repeated washing. Each one measures 45 x 34 cm / 17.72 x 13.39 in.

Care and everyday use

Shake off crumbs after each meal and wipe small spills with a damp cloth while they are fresh. When it needs a proper wash, hand wash it in cool water with a mild detergent, press it flat and let it dry on a towel, away from direct heat. Store it flat so the scallops keep their curve.
