Stacked Globe Wall Lamp, Four-Ball Opal Sconce for Bedroom, Hallway and Living Room, Black or Copper
Four opal globes stacked in a slim frame. A vertical line of light on the wall.
Details
This stacked globe wall lamp holds four opal white globes in a slim metal frame curving out from a small round wall plate, so it reads as one vertical line of light. The globes sit a little off the wall, so light washes the wall behind them. The opal globes hide the light source and give an even glow, and the four read as one piece.
Beside the bed it replaces a bedside lamp and leaves the nightstand clear; a pair frames the headboard. At 43 x 13 cm it is tall and narrow, so it fits a slice of wall beside a bed, mirror or door frame where a wide wall sconce would not. In a hallway it goes next to a mirror; in a living room, flanking a chimney breast or a big picture.
Four opal white globes, frame in copper or black. Black is graphic on a pale wall and suits steel and marble; copper is warmer, picks up the glow and suits warm woods and brass. Dust the globes with a dry cloth when the light is off and cool, and dry the frame after a damp wipe so it does not spot. No abrasive cleaners, and no spraying the whole fitting.

Why it earns its place
Four globes in one fitting
Four opal white globes stacked in a slim frame that curves out of a small round wall plate.
Black or copper
The frame comes in black or copper. Black is graphic against a pale wall; copper is warmer and picks up the glow of the globes.
43 x 13 cm
Tall and narrow, so it fits the slice of wall beside a bed, a mirror or a door frame where a wide sconce would not.

In your home
Beside the bed it does the job of a bedside lamp without taking up the table, and a pair, one each side of the headboard, frames the bed. At 43 x 13 cm it needs only a narrow strip of wall, which is where it beats most sconces.
In a hallway, mount one beside a mirror; in a living room, one either side of a chimney breast or a large picture. The opal white goes with everything, so choose the frame to match what is already there: copper with warm woods and brass hardware, black with steel, marble or white walls.
Materials and quality
Four opal white globes and a metal frame, finished in black or copper, on a small round wall plate. The frame is slim and curves out from the plate, so the globes stand slightly off the wall and light spills onto it behind them. The opal globes give an even glow with no visible bulb, and four globes together mean the whole line reads as one piece rather than a row of separate lamps.
Care and everyday use
Dust the globes with a soft dry cloth once the light is off and cool. Fingerprints come off with a barely damp cloth; dry the frame afterwards so the finish does not spot. Avoid abrasive cleaners on the black or copper finish. Clean around the frame with a dry cloth rather than spraying cleaner over the whole fitting.
