A wooden advent calendar in the shape of a house, with a pitched roof and 24 small numbered drawers across the front. In Red, the numbers and little Christmas motifs are painted white and a Santa sleigh scene is cut out under the roof. It has lights too, so the house glows on the shelf through the December evenings.

Choose Red or Natural White. The Red house is 30 x 6.3 x 39 cm / 11.8 x 2.48 x 15.4 in, about the height of a table lamp and shallow enough for a mantel or a bookshelf. Fill each drawer with a small sweet, a note or a tiny ornament, and refill it next year.

The lights run on 2 AA batteries, not included. Wipe the wood with a soft dry cloth and keep it away from damp.
