Details

A Christmas table runner printed with dark green holly, red berries, pine sprigs and pale leaves on a cream ground. The pattern covers the whole runner, so it looks right from every seat and where it hangs over the end of the table.

It is 33 cm / 13 in wide and comes in four lengths: 150 cm / 59 in for a small table or a sideboard, 180 cm / 71 in, 200 cm / 79 in, or 275 cm / 108 in for a long dining table with an overhang at both ends. The runner is woven linen.

Wash it by hand in cool water and lay it flat to dry so it keeps its shape.

In your home

Run it down the middle of the dining table with white plates on both sides and a few candles on top, or lay the short length on a sideboard under a bowl of clementines. For an overhang at both ends, pick the next length up from your table.

The cream ground keeps it light, so it suits pale oak, white walls and simple tableware, and the holly and berries bring in Christmas colour without anything else on the table. Leave it out from the first week of December until New Year.

Materials and quality

The runner is woven linen, printed with holly leaves, red berries, pine sprigs and pale leaves on a cream background, with neatly finished edges. It is 33 cm / 13 in wide, a good width for the centre of a table between two rows of plates. Choose from four lengths between 150 cm / 59 in and 275 cm / 108 in.

Care and everyday use

Wash it by hand in cool water with a mild detergent and lay it flat to dry so it keeps its shape. Wipe up spills straight away with a damp cloth. Store it rolled rather than folded to avoid sharp creases.

Good to know

Which length should I choose?

Pick the next length up from your table so it hangs over the ends: 150 cm / 59 in, 180 cm / 71 in, 200 cm / 79 in or 275 cm / 108 in.

How wide is it?

33 cm / 13 in, wide enough for candles and a centrepiece between the plates.

How do I wash it?

By hand in cool water, then lay it flat to dry.
