Thick felt log carrier with reinforced handles, from the woodpile to the hearth.
Details
A large firewood basket in thick charcoal felt, with curved low sides, a flat pocket on the front and a round handle bar at each end held on with brown straps. It carries logs from the woodpile to the hearth and then stays by the fire as the log store.
It measures 50 cm long, 32 cm deep and 40 cm tall. The handles are reinforced for carrying, and the basket folds down when it is not in use, so it can be put away over summer.
Shake out bark and wood dust outdoors, and keep the basket a safe distance from open flames.

Why it earns its place
Reinforced handles
A round handle bar at each end, held with brown straps, so you can carry it with both hands.
Generous size
50 cm long, 32 cm deep and 40 cm tall, with curved low sides that make the logs easy to reach.
Folds away
Thick felt that folds down when the fire season is over, plus a front pocket for matches or firelighters.
In your home
Stand it beside the fireplace or wood stove and fill it on your way back in from the woodpile, so the evening's logs are within reach. The charcoal felt hides bark dust and looks at home on stone, slate or wooden floors.
Outside the heating season it works as soft storage: throws and blankets by the sofa, magazines next to an armchair or toys in a child's room. The front pocket keeps matches or a remote close by.
Materials and quality
The basket is made of thick felt in a dark charcoal tone, with curved low sides that keep the opening wide and a flat pocket on the front. At each end a round, light-colored handle bar is fixed with brown straps, and the handles are reinforced for carrying. It folds down when empty. At 50 cm long, 32 cm deep and 40 cm tall, it takes a good armful of logs.
Care and everyday use
Shake out bark, chips and wood dust outdoors after each refill, or use a vacuum with a brush attachment. Spot clean marks with a damp cloth and let it air dry. Keep the basket a safe distance from the open fire, sparks and other direct heat sources, and store it folded in a dry place over summer.
