This LED bathroom mirror light is a slim bar that mounts above the mirror and lights your face from above and slightly in front, so shaving and makeup happen without the shadow a ceiling light drops under the brow. The bar is painted iron, rigid and flat to the wall, and its acrylic shade spreads the built-in LED into an even band of warm white with no visible dots.

It belongs over the bathroom vanity, in a main bathroom or a small toilet, or above a dressing table or a bedroom mirror where you do your hair. Size it at about two thirds of the mirror width; full width looks heavy. Gold suits brass fittings, marble-look tile or a round brass-framed mirror; black goes with matte black faucets, white tile and a plain rectangular one.

Painted iron body, acrylic diffuser, built-in LED, hardwired, rated for 90-260V. Acrylic does not shatter like glass, useful in a bathroom. Black comes in 43 or 55 cm; gold is the other finish. Steam and toothpaste spray come off with a soft cloth and warm water; keep alcohol and glass cleaner away from the acrylic, since they can craze it, and dry the painted iron afterward. Care and everyday use
